Showtime question/problem

I had one of my sims as a singer and was getting sick of that so I turned her into an acrobat. Well when I did that, she wouldn't perform into front of anyone(she'd walk away into an empty room or away from other sims) or wouldn't work for tips. Then I tried magician to see if I could do anything still but for it only to do the same thing as the acrobat. Then I tried going back to singer and couldn't do anything either.

Is this a game problem? Or is this just because you can only pick one as a career?

I've switched between those three careers with one sim without any problem, so it's not that.
Are you using any mods/cc?

Now I am, even before I downloaded stuff from the store I still had problems, and I found out that I can't even use the stage...

Oh I can't do any stages, I click on whichever one(I've clicked on all of them) and none of them worked. And she never changed into her outfit(nor did I think about changing her into it) but i'll try it to see if anything happens.

Okay so the changing of the outfit works for performing for tips, but as soon as I leveled up and tried to change into the other outfit, the loading screen for changing appearance stays on the screen(its been like 5 mins ) so I haven't yet seen if I was able to do anything with the stages.

Okay so I was able to change into the outfit and perform, I got the second outfit, changed into that and was able to perform. Then I saved before I went to customize it, it froze again and now I'm unable to play the family. I can see my sims through the window but I'm unable to select them or do anything around the house. I don't have the menu at the bottom, I can't buy anything or anything. I can't even go to the upper or lower levels of the house. I'm stuck on the second floor.

So I disable the cc, then hopefully it'll play? Or do i do something with backup save files? Oooorrr....?? Hahaha I'm lost, sorry

Okie dokies i'll try that, i saved that one game(the one that doesn't work) and it has three folders for that. One being "March 2012.sims3", "March 2012.sims3.backup", and then "March 2012.sims3.bad" ... Why does it say bad? If I delete that folder would that also help?

The .bad extension basically tells you that that savegame became corrupted in some way. The game is telling itself to ignore that save, so deleting it definitely wouldn't hurt.
