Quick question about CC (store updates)[SOLVED]

I was wondering , do I have to keep the files in the "downloads" folder after they are installed ? I was hoping I could delete them after to make some room . The sims uses alot of space

hello,
You can delete them, since the downloads folder really is only a staging area. But I would strongly advise against it. You wouldn't believe how many times the solution of a problem requires you to reinstall your sims3packs.
And what if you ever have to reinstall?
If you want to clear up some space, at the very least copy them to an external storage device. You don't want to have to redownload them.
