Disk Authentication Error even after crack applied ?!?[SOLVED]

I have found this problem else where in the site but the solutions did not work for me. I have a MAC and I have followed all of the instructions to the letter. I have tried deleting all of my expansion packs and re-installing them, I have used every crack that I could fine (the 2 file deal) I DL the ultimate fix which stated that it was updated 6/10/2012 but the crack files are dated 4/5/2012. I tried DLing again but it is still the same. Funny has it that I can use my sons generations cd and the game works?!? Problem is my son goes back to college in August. But after cracking it I still get disk authentication error, any help would be appreciated. And if I get this thing working I will post the steps and links that made it possible, so that I may help other MAC users get this thing going.

As for the Fix, the file you mentioned probably isn't the crack. The files in the folders of the Fix are not cracks. Those are the original files, needed to update the game. All you need, in your situation, after applying the manual patch, is the crack in the "# Crack" folder.

So, this is what you do:

1. Download and apply the manual patch.
2. Re-download the Ultimate Fix and only re-do step 13.
3. Start the game and let us know the result.

I know this may sound stupid but I can't fine the pages with steps on it that go up to 13? all the pages I find have only 6 to 7 steps. can you give me a link or a hint

I found the 13 steps in the download but now after following the above directions my game won't start at all, it just comes up on the dock and then disappear. The manual update went through without a hitch, but after copying the crack the program no longer work. any help would be appreciated.

I tried re-installing the base game...nothing, so I tried re-installing Generations...nothing the game won't even come on with the Generations CD! So I am in the process of uninstalling and reinstalling the base game and then the Eps. Hope I have more luck the 3rd time that I do all of this.

Funny enough when I uninstalled all of it and reinstalled all of it and applied the crack...it worked!! Thank you so much for your help...I will definitely return the favor to anyone else that needs help.

I didn't use the patch I just let the game update itself and then applied the crack.

Quick question will installing the new stuff packs cause the crack to stop working?
