Help Please. Sims 3 asking for Disk. [SOLVED]

This is my first post to this forum though I have been lurking for a bit and I absolutely love this site. I think it's wonderful what you guys have been able to do. Now...here is my situation.


I have the base and all the stuff/expansions from retail EXCEPT for Showtime and now Sweet Treats. Those I got here. I was able to originally download Showtime and play with no problem. Along comes patch update 1.34, so I wait till the new Fix is up before going to update. I see that Sweet Treats is available at the same time...so I download that and follow the install instructions prior to applying the new Fix. When I go to start the game, the launcher asks for the game disk. I, of course, don't have one. I'm rather stuck.

I followed each step in the instructions guide to the T, applying the final crack in the base game bin folder and no the expansions folder like I'm supposed to.

I even uninstalled/reinstalled the base game to make sure I had fresh .exe and .dll files to replace with the crack from the Fix. Still nothing.

I don't know what else to do. I remember mounting Showtime to a virtual drive using powerISO, but I can't remember how to do that right now.

Help?

Please re-download and re-apply the latest version of the Ultimate Fix: games4theworld.forumotion.com/t752-the-sims-3-ultimate-fix-should-fix-most-of-your-problems
Be sure to unmount everything related to The Sims 3 and to take out all Mods and CC.

I just tried what you suggested.

A fresh download of the latest fix.

All CC and mods removed to my desktop

Game is unmounted from my HD

Latest Fix reapplied into the programs (X86)/EA/Sims 3/Game/Bin folder, replacing the files within

It is still asking me for the disk to be inserted before I can play. Maybe a full uninstall/reinstall of everything?

The shot is where the files are placed. You can see the path to the folder. They replaced the existing files in the same folder.

I have done this several times and I still don't know what I'm missing. I have taken out all downloads, mods and CC, and unmounted the game from my virtual drives.




ok I have been fighting with this stupid thing for half an hour now...I keep getting different error messages when I try to upload the screenshot. The size and extension format I can understand but the final one says it cannot be uplpaded due to storage size? Could not upload file : exceeded total storage space. (Free space : 16) is the message I get.

Thank you. I did notice that the Date Modified on the newest Fix was April 5th. I don't know if that is right or if it should be more recent since it was just redone for the new patch? I know I used the link for the newest release of the fix.
