Hi,

I recently got my laptop fixed after a hard drive problem. The technician was able to save all of my info and put it onto a new hard drive, so my Sims were saved! But ever since I got it back, I was experiencing problems in the game (I've never had any problems before) and couldn't download the latest patch. So I manually deleted all of my games (through the registry as well), following the instructions of the EA admin, and reinstalled them. Now whenever I open the launcher it pops up saying "There was an error during startup. Please see the Log for more details." Help, I want my Sims back!!!

I think you may still have some lost registry entries, have a look at this video to help you find them.
