Sims 3 install trouble

Hey
Ive installed the the sims 3 base ,world adventures, amb and diesel
followed the directions installed patches and everything seems well
except i can no longer add my saved content its all in the right place
but wont load!

Im sorry more specifics would help you im sure. At the loading screen where you can select files. It says the patch or expansion associated with this file has been uninstalled or deleted. Mind you this was a saved game from a store purchased copy of ambitions. And now im using the versions from G4tw!.

Hello,
It's possible that your game was saved with a different Ambitions patch level, see if patching Ambitions helps. You can use this tool to help you patch expansions.
It's not needed to patch any of your expansions at all, but in this case patching Ambitions might just do the trick.

Thank you! but it says Cannot load this save game. It may have been saved with expansion data that is no longer present on this system. I applied the patches as you instructed but still have the same msg. Should I reinstall the store bought copy? or use a file retriever program?

I doubt installing the store bought version makes a difference at all, since in essence our version is exactly the same.
Is there anything else that could be missing from your game that you had before?

Did you have any other expansion packs when you made that save originally?

Maybe ambitions isn't installed correctly! If im selecting ambitions on my desktop but i still see diesel at the start screen! If ambitions is supposed to be at the loading screen then i can assume the problem may there. matter of fact anything i select like the sims base game world adv. etc... diesel still pops up on the loading screen.Could this be the issue?

No, the game simply starts with the loadingscreen of your newest expansion/stuffpack.
It doesn't matter which shortcut you use, they all start the same game.
If it wasn't installed correctly, you wouldn't have been able to patch it. You can also look at it's icon in the launcher, if it's lit up, it's installed correctly.
