No disk, help!!

I have downloaded sims 3 showtime, I followed all the steps except for when I came to the last step I did not have a folder called game or bin therefore I could not move the files into it. I tried just adding new folders and naming them 'game' and 'bin' but that would not work either. The game was not downloaded via origin, it was bought in a store. I was trying to mount the game but I had no idea what I was doing. Help would be greatly appreciated. I've been trying to get it to work all day and it's driving me mad.

Creating the folders yourself doesn't work. Since you need the crack to overwrite the original exe and dll.
Where did you try to copy the crack to? It needs to go to the base game bin. You definitely have that folder if you bought the disc in a store. It's in your install directory.
But before you apply the crack from Showtime, note that that crack is outdated. You'll need the one from the fix in stead. If you didn't update your game to 1.36 yet, also get the manual patch.

I've checked everywhere but the folder doesn't exist.

Hello,
Ok here's what you do, you probably have an icon on your desktop right? Rightclick it and go to properties, a small window appears. At the top, you'll find 3 tabs, go to shortcut (if you're not there yet), and have a look at the target. Now click on find target. Which folder does it take you to?

Okay I did that, uninstalled everything, re-installed it, put the crack into the right bin folder (and it is definitely the right one) but it still says there's no disc? :/

Are you positive you are puting the 'Latest Fix' #crack into "*\The Sims 3\Game\Bin" not *\The Sims 3 Showtime\Game\Bin
If so Is there any mods or CC you have installed. If so Try backing them up and removing them for the game and try again.
