The Sims 3 Diesel stuff pack installing problem

I downloaded the new sims 3 stuff pack! I unrared it and waited for the install to start! But after I clicked for the update to start, it said unable to update-unable to install! Is that anything have to do with custom/installed content? I tried applying the fix you posted here, but nothing happened, the problem still exists! Can you help me?

No, it has nothing to do with the CC you've installed.

Hello! I tried installing the manual patch , but it said , that I had to close other installations before installing this(i didn't have any other installations running at the same time) and there was a problem with the Microsoft Patch 1, or something like that!
