Buy mode items greyed out. [SOLVED]

Machine details:
Mac OS: 10.5.8
Purchased Games: Base, World Adventures, High End Stuff, Ambitions, Late Night, Generations, Pets
Downloaded Games: Showtime
Game Version: 10.0.96.013001 (no longer prompting to update)

I did the Showtime crack, ultimate fix, and patch (all done yesterday) and I've removed my "Mods" folder. Problem is that all the buy mode items are "missing" and even when I try to place items in the collections the game crashes. I have no idea where I've gone wrong but I really don't want to download everything again. I was just trying to get a no DVD crack.

Any suggestions?

What is your base game version? The launcherversion doesn't tell us much.
And did you use the crack from the fix before or after you patched?
Are you getting an error at all when you start the game?

1. I haven't the slightest how to find out my base game version (I feel like such a noob)
2. I installed the ultimate fix and then the crack per the instruction guide.
3. And yes, I get the error "It looks like you have and unofficial game modification that does not match your current version of The Sims 3. We recommend that you either uninstall these game modifications or get updated versions of them - otherwise you may experience crashes or significant bugs."

Did you re-download the latest version of the Ultimate Fix? Are you 100% you correctly and completely removed your Mods?

You can find the base game version by hovering your mouse over the base game icon on the launcher, in the lower-left corner of the screen.

Just got back to a satisfactory internet connection and re-downloaded the fix. The buy mode and initial "unofficial version" error have been fixed. Not sure where the problem was.

I did want to say, hovering over the game icon in the launcher doesn't give me a base game version number (like in the picture you attached above). Don't know how I could be doing something wrong there.
