S.O.S. HELP! VIRUS POLICE SCAN by UKASH!!! PLEASE DEAR GOD HELP ME!
If I could upload a photo I would but for now I have to just give you a description.
I was watching Pokemon shows on my laptop online free then all of a sudden this notice/warning/fine appeared! We called the police and they said its a fake. Also this is the newest scam up to date and still has no name for it. It asked for 100€ and it locks your screen completely. Every one of these viruses has to be taken down a certain way. Each are unique and too different to take down like others apparently!
This happened about an hour ago and my fiancé can't fix it and we also don't have any virus software scanner stuff because I don't know why.
But after so long my PC has a problem NOW? It's ridiculous! Please help! SOS

Hmmm.....I've never had this specific problem myself, one program you could try to use is http://www.malwarebytes.org/. It is a great problem and has gotten rid of quite a few viruses I've gotten in the past.
On a side note, any scam like that should be illegal. Seriously, playing on a persons fears like that.

But the thing is that it locks on to your screen! You can't access your screen for more than a few seconds. It's impossible! And that is only when you start your computer back on
I read somewhere that going to that website on another computer then downloading that stuff you need on a USB and then using it on your scammed computer would help. I don't know though since I don't have a second computer

I was about to recommend using another computer as well. Because you don't have access to a second computer you may have to do what is called, a "System Restore" and then download the Malwarebytes. Are you on a PC, if so, Which version of Windows are you running?

Hello,
I actually read about this virus earlier this week, this is a news article about it. Apparently an IT specialist should have no trouble removing it.

Hello,
You could take it to the computer shop, or have a "computer whiz" family member or friend have a look at it.

Hello,
Don't panic, never panic!
Do you know how to boot your PC from a disc, instead of the HDD? If not, does someone in your family know how to do so?

Hey! I see you're from Germany like me and I had the same problem. I was on tumblr and suddenly this shit appeared, that they found some random illegal stuff on my computer and if I wouldn't pay them 100€ they would never un-lock my screen again. So an IT-specialist removed it by setting my system up again. (HDD,disc, recovery)

How to remove/fix the problem( free and simple way)
Restart computer and go to safe mode ( Hold F8 Key for window 7 users. Select safe mode)
Once the computer loads:
Program > Accessories> System Tool > System restore. By doing this, you will complete "restore" back to the selected date. Everything prior to the selected date will be erased.
Restart computer and go to safe mode ( Hold F8 Key for window 7 users. Select safe mode)
Once the computer loads:
Program > Accessories> System Tool > System restore. By doing this, you will complete "restore" back to the selected date. Everything prior to the selected date will be erased.

I got this virus. Reinstall windows and active your anti virus immediately. Your file should be under windows.old Anyway, there are a lot of software which restore the the lost file.

It can never be stressed too much that you need to have an anti virus and/or anti malware program on your PC if your going to surf the net. There are a lot of free AVs out there, two of the best being AVG and Avast. Also a program that takes up to date snap shots of your system helps a lot in recovering from a virus/malware attack. I Use FarStone Restore IT, it takes a daily snapshot that can be loaded at boot time to correct any errors. Depending on how much HDD space you allow it, you can roll back as far as 1 year or as little as 1 day. I also use it to take a snap shot before installing new software, just in case that software is buggy or messes up my system.

How long does it approximately take to make a "snapshot"?

That depends on how large your system partition is. My system partition (C:) is 650 GB and it takes about 35 seconds to stake a snap shot. The very first snapshot took about 2 minutes because you have to set the secure partition size ( I set my secure partition size at 30 GB). The secure Partition is a bit like the standard rescue partition on most of today's pre-built systems. The nice thing about Restore IT is that it is a set and forget program, everyday at a certain time (you can choose what time) it will take a snap shot of your current setup. If you need to restore your system then just reboot the PC and hit the restore key at the RestoreIT prompt screen ( I set my restore key to F2), and it will re-image the system with the restore snapshot you choose in about 3 minutes.

Hi there,
Oh wow, that sounds like a good piece of program.
But I don't understand how it takes a "snapshot"(?) in approximately 35 seconds. It's like a System Restore, really?

Yes its like MS System Restore but 110% more reliable and 300% faster.
Here is a definition of a system snap shot:
System snapshot
A system snapshot is the state of a system at a particular point in time. The term was coined as an analogy to that in photography. Most system restore utilities monitor all the changes from the last Snapshot point had been created. This snapshot point usually takes only seconds to be created. Snapshots offer the quickest way to restore a damaged Windows system to a working state.
Hope this helps clarify what a snap shot is.

Hello,
Thank you for that, I get it, but still don't understand how it can be done in seconds... if it's a complete snapshot of your system and all programs and stuff.
But sounds good, I might give that program a try, thanks!

The reason it can be done in seconds is that is is just like pointing a camera at something and taking its picture. A system snap shot takes a "picture" how the files are arranged and when restored places the files exactly the way they are placed in the "picture".

Re: S.O.S. HELP! VIRUS POLICE SCAN by UKASH!!! PLEASE DEAR GOD HELP ME!
Yes it backs the files up but since its a "picture" of the system it doesn't take as long as a disk imaging program like Norton Ghost. A disk imaging program physically makes a copy of all files and how they are setup so it takes much longer to backup your files. The type of imaging used in snap shot software makes a copy of the reference points only (i.e. winrscmd.dll uses the reference point C:/Windows/sysWOW64 )
When you restore the system it looks at the reference point for all the files and places them back in the exact location they were before.

Hello,
So it does not back up, actually.
Because if you take the image to a clean Windows and put it back, it doesn't restore all your files. At least, from what I understand.

Re: S.O.S. HELP! VIRUS POLICE SCAN by UKASH!!! PLEASE DEAR GOD HELP ME!
Yes, it only restores the files to the system they were snap shot from. Farstone RestoreIT will let you recover a snap shot to a new installation of windows as long as it is the same system that the snap shot came from
Of course you can use a migration tool to convert the snap shot into a non-system specific image that can be used to apply the snap shot to other computers, even if the system hardware is different from the system used to take the snap shot. But your talking about $150 - $275 US for the program to do that and there are better tools out there for doing that without having to convert a snap shot image. Paragon's Migration Tool comes to mind for making a system image universal.
