Sims 3 Crashing Issue.[SOLVED]
Dear Moderators,
My girlfriend is a long time player of the Sims. She purchased the Sims 3, along with the Pets, World Adventures, and Late Night expansion packs. I went ahead, as a surprise to her, and downloaded all of the stuff packs, Ambitions, and Generations expansions from you guys. Prior to installing these packs, everything was working fine.
I have no issues regarding the download/installation of these products. However, once she began to play, the program would "crash." It would load up everything fine, but as soon as she began to play for around 5 minutes, the screen would flicker, turn black and back to the game screen, and then revert back to the desktop.
I followed all of the possible solutions on here regarding the game fixes. I DEP'ed all of the exe files, as well as lowering the settings and running it in windowed mode. The game now runs slightly longer, for about 15-20 minutes, but it still crashes. This time, however, it crashes worse than before, requiring us to unplug the battery in order to restart the computer.
She is playing the Sims 3 on a laptop with the following specs:
Acer Aspire 7741z Laptop
Windows 7 Home Premium
Intel Pentium CPU P6100 @ 2.00 Ghz
6.00 GB of RAM
Also, when I look into my device manager, under monitors, it simply states that it's a Generic PnP monitor, and I cannot find the video card listing anywhere. I went onto the Acer website and downloaded a new driver for her video card (at least what I THINK is a new driver) but it still comes up as Generic PnP Monitor.
As I stated earlier, before installing all of the expansions/stuff packs from your website, the game ran fine. Is there any possible way to get this program to run smoother/longer? Any suggestions??
PS. Her expression when the game crashes-
//EDIT
I also forgot to mention,
She has no mods or CC installed.

Hello,
Nice of you to surprise her! I'm sorry to hear about the problems.
Is it a 32-bit or a 64-bit Windows version?

Dear Admin,
My girlfriend successfully played the Sims tonight for over 2 hours. I appreciate the time and effort you put into fixing the game for her. She says thank you as well!
Once again, thanks for everything! It seems to be running alright for the moment. I believe you can now change this topic to [SOLVED]

Hi there,
Glad to hear it worked! You're always welcome!
She can tweak the graphics up and see how it goes.
Enjoy playing!
Ps. Don't tell her you killed her Sims.
