Sims3 is slow and unplayable
First topic message reminder :
Hello,
I have Sims 3 and all of it's expansions installed; the base game is store bought. The loading times are excessively long, and when it finally loads, it's just too slow and choppy to be playable. My system should be more than able to handle this game. Does anyone have suggestions? Thanks.

Hello,
Before turning off the GPU, download and install this driver: http://www.nvidia.co.uk/object/win7-winvista-64bit-301.42-whql-driver-uk.html
Be sure to choose "Custom" and "Clean installation" during the installation wizard. Restart your PC after installation!
Also, if it's an integrated Intel GPU, it's automatically used when needed. As far as I know you can't turn the integrated CPU graphics on or off.

I have the same problem, the game was running fine until I installed expansions now even if I play only the base game without any expansions installed it stills takes a lot of time to load and everything, I don't know what to do

Yeah I agree with Admin make sure your Graphic Card is updated.
But also, i3 is the lower tier of the new I# series from Intel, so have you exited background task like IM's and the like? just basically have your anti-virus, gamebooster, nvidia driver icon, and what is loaded by your system to actually run.
Do you have any idea what version of the i3 chip you have?
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Intel_Core_i3_microprocessors
Just to see how far down your is, All Versions of the I# series have hyper-threading from what I'm reading, so your 2 core should appear as 4 on task manager and such right?
Anti-Virus, what one do you have? have a paid/free version of it?
Microsoft Security Essentials is a very good one for free if you don't have it.
I know when I play Sims 3 I turn my Wireless off completely, just for the fact of I'm not planning to browse the internet during that time, so I let Sims 3 use that processing power if needed.

Hello,
And stuff like "Windows Indexer" use a lot of resources too.
If you use GameBooster and configure it correctly, it'll take care nicely of those kind of (useless) programs.
