Microsoft Office 2010 Professional Plus
I am currently download MS Office 2010 Profession Plus (from here, of course:) ).
I am using winrar to download, so I hope that is okay.
I hope it installs easily (holds breath). If it does...I was wondering how to go about the activation, as I've never done such a thing and I don't know anything about it.
Won't even start to install, as it says I need x86 or x64. I have Vista Home Premium, so I don't know what is wrong.

Hello,
But you have a 32-bit version of windows (according to your profile) and it looks like this programs' system requirements include 64-bit windows.
Why don't you try Microsoft Office Enterprise 2007 SP2, which can also be downloaded here.

Thank you very much! Good grief, I didn't even see it before. I have a trial version of 2007 (expired) so should I remove that first?

Re: Microsoft Office 2010 Professional Plus
LOL. I think so, too. It includes these things:
Excel, OneNote, Powerpoint, Word 2007, with a subfolder: Microsoft Office Tools.
I've never really used them, as I got too annoyed by the limited activation in Word, so I'd load it, then close... which just used up more of the activations, of course.
TLDR; Thing is, I don't know much about any of it, so I guess I won't be losing much. *crosses fingers* I'm just eager to get the Micro$oft Word Processor.

Hello,
Be sure to completely remove the Office 2007 and restarting your PC afterwards!
After doing so, download and install our version of Office 2007, which doesn't require an activation and is FULLY updateable! Happy Officing!

Re: Microsoft Office 2010 Professional Plus
Aw, that would be so great... but ya know what? I cannot install Vista Service Pack 1! Stupid thing just sits there at 100% complete and won't go any further. So, I doubt Office 2007 will install.
I checked on the 2010 version and it's supposed to work on Vista, too, but I'm sure Vista needs Service Pack 1 and/or 2 to work either 2007 or 2010. So I'm SOL, it looks like.
Thanks so much anyway. *sniff*

Hello,
Don't worry, you should be able to manually download a SP1 image and then burn that image to a DVD.
Insert that DVD and install SP1 manually.

Re: Microsoft Office 2010 Professional Plus
Yep, well I got Service Pack 1 to, uh, "install"... partly, then my computer had to repair itself forever, then was slowwww, and did not complete the install. So I did a system restore and am DONE with Micro$oft crud.
But I thank you for your site and for your help.
I had no problems with the games, so I will be happy with those, and with a free Word Processor, called Open Office. Ha. "Open", not closed like Micro$_!
Cheers!
