sims 3 says it needs an update after fix ?

Hello, i installed the sims 3 base game . and just downloaded sims 3 town life , it works after the crack is applied but ! it says the game needs an update after i updated it to 1.38 ? im not sure if there is something that i missed . but if someone could please help i would greatly appreciate that
