Sims 3 supernatural installation: can't find disk 1.[SOLVED]

It is the first time I download a game that is so complicated to install as the sims 3, so I am quite lost...
I am pretty sure that I did something wrong, since I just searched the forums and found someone who had the same problem as me; unfortunately they resolved it themselves so I couldn't get an answer!


I have downloaded and installed succesfully the Sims 3 base game, generations and pets, and used the ultimate fix to put it up to date.

Today I also downloaded the Supernatural expansion pack from your links, and during the installation, about halfway through, it asks me to insert disk one which contains a file called Gamedata\Shared\Resource.cfg
Unless I did something totally wrong, the folder I downloaded did not contain any disk to mount or any file called Resource.cfg or Disk 1

What should I do?

Please open the .rar file you downloaded using only WinRar, which can be downloaded from www.games4theworld.org . (If you use any other software than WinRar, like WinZip or 7-zip, the files will get messed up!) When you've opened the file using WinRar, select áll the files in it and drag & drop them to a folder on your Desktop. When the extraction is done, close the .rar file and open the folder on your Desktop.
Now, start by reading the included "# Installation Guide.txt" and you should be able to get the game to work yourself. Good luck!

Edit: Okay, nevermind, I did it again from the start and it worked, though I'm not sure what I did differently...
