Can't Start Game at Start Menu

So I downloaded Sims 3 Pets from you guys and everything was perfect, installed great, started great but when I get to the select a town menu it won't let me start playing. No matter how many times I click the check mark button nothing happens.

So you just have Sims 3 base and Pets or do you have more installed?
Did you download "The Sims 3: Pets [FULL] * Games4theworld *" or "The Sims 3: Pets [FULL/FIXED] * Games4theworld *"
If you just downloaded the [FULL] one, do this, https://games4theworld.forumotion.com/t2251-the-sims-3-pets-please-insert-disk-1-official-fix

What's your base game version? You can find that out by doing this.

By them looking at a picture on the internet of someone's The Sims 3 Launcher, how does that make them find out? Wouldn't tell them to open The Sims 3, and look at the bottom left corner and have their mouse hover over The Sims 3 base icon be better?
(FYI I had no idea what actually was happening until I opened my Launcher up, and looking back at the picture.)

I have a bought version of Sims 3 and Generations installed. I don't recall the name of the torrent I downloaded. I found it on isohunt.

Installed Game Boost. Boosted the game but it it didn't help. It still won't let me start the game and the select a city menu.

It helps because a picture says more than a thousand words. We used your description in the past, it confused about half the people out here. The picture shows where to look. This option is also a lot faster, simply copy an image to a post and you're done. You have to realize that several people a day need to be asked about their base game version. And everyone gets the picture.
Anyway, doesn't this sound like a modified installer? A Sims 3 and Generations installed, downloaded from Isohunt?

I'm confused - you have a purchased dvd version of base and generations, and then a pirated version of pets, correct? you said you got pets from G4TW, and then later isohunt. If it was from G4TW, it should have been hosted on Torcache.
If your pets game was downloaded from isohunt, I would recommend uninstalling it, and downloading a fresh copy from G4TW.
Also, does the game work fine without pets installed? Like, with just your DVD versions installed?

The version of pets I got from isohunt was by G4TW.
And yes I have a bought DVD version of the base game and generations.
The game used to work fine until I installed pets and now I can't start the game at the pick a city menu.

I know it's a pain, but try downloading a fresh copy right off the G4TW site. Something is wrong with the pets copy you downloaded.

Actually, I think it's not the Pets download, I think its the base+generations base game version. It may not be entirely compatible with a torrented Pets.
But, can't be certain since it did install.
Try Admin's suggestion, that'll take care of bad caches as well as any incompatible mods/cc you might have.

Admin suggested he try it earlier - and OP said it didn't work. Having a bad game version of pets is the only other thing I can think of :/

Ah ok, I was going by Admin's last post.
The thing with bad torrents is that they usually don't even install if there's a problem.
It may help to install the manual patch, it corrects all kinds of errors. But if that doesn't do, reinstalling just the Pets expansion might just do the trick.
