Sims 3 error while installing expansion (0x10020f52) [SOLVED]

Hello,
I was trying to install late night and i followed all the instructions in the mac guide pdf, but i got an error saying 'exception raised. Unhandled page fault on read access to 0x00000000 at address 0x10020f52. Do you wish to debug it?' whether i click yes or no the game still doesn't open.

Please help me!

No, after installation and after replacing the files with the ones from the fix too.

Hi! would you mind re-installing?

Please try these steps, while making sure it is a clean install.

- Please try updating your base game from the launcher itself.
- After updating, check that your game version is updated to v1.38
- After that, install the expansion packs you want without applying any cracks.
- After installing, make sure you have the latest Ultimate Fix downloaded. Unzip the file.
- Go to the "# Crack" folder and copy both files into you Game>Bin folder.

You should be able to play your game after this.
Do not worry about the instructions from base game telling you not to update it. The Ultimate Fix crack will fix it.

Also, I don't have the RELOADED version of the base game, (I downloaded my base game a long time ago from a different torrent) so will the expansions still work? Because I remember someone saying on the forum that only the RELOADED sims3 base works with the G4TW expansions on a mac.

You do not have to use the RELOADED version of base game, as long as you are able to update via the launcher. My version is not RELOADED's as well!

(Note: The games4theworld version fo base game will not work for mac!)

Make sure you have deleted all files before re-installing the base game, including the "Electronic Arts" folder in your Documents folder

Yes, while updating the game. I moved the EA folder to the trash, so hopefully it should work now

uninstalled the base game and now reinstalled it, but when i try to
update the game it says 'no patches available' so it can't update.

I'm just going to keep trying to update like you said. Should I
uninstall the game and install it again, again? or just keep trying to

Also, after I uninstalled the game, I didn't get an
installation wizard again, it just kind of opened the launcher and asked
me if i wanted to update and stuff and was working normally. (except my
saved games were gone) Is that supposed to happen or am I supposed to
get an installation wizard again?

You should reinstall everytime it does not work. Btw, it should have an installation wizard so i'm not sure why it did not appear.

Drag it to the trash, including the Electronic Arts folder in your Documents folder.

I did that. I have a zip file that contains the game (thats how I got the game in the first place) that i had downloaded. should I unarchive the zip file to get the game icon?

So the base game you downloaded comes with the game icon inside? no need for any installation? If so, just drag the icon in your applications folder.

I am assuming after unzipping it's something like The Sims3.app

Yessss! its The Sims 3.app.zip then when i unzip it, it becomes .app

Ok , I unzipped it and dragged the icon into applications. but the
manual patch is not downloading for some odd reason, its stuck at
0.0/1.0 GB.
