DO NOT UPDATE to version 1.39 of The Sims 3 yet! [CLOSED]

Just a reminder to let you know NOT to update to the recently release version 1.39 of The Sims 3!
Wait for our Ultimate Fix to be updated and working with this new version, prior to updating!

Hi, I accidently updated to 1.39 and I'm curious as to when your new fix will be available? Master suite stuff is my last expansion. I copied over the crack after the update thinking that was right for some reason; but now my game says I have an unofficial mod installed. It crashes during loading to the main menu where you choose your town. Any help would be great. I'll be on and off of here checking for replies and fixes. BTW, the update had installed from the launcher but with an Origin installer. IDK if that is good or bad. I'm using nothing but cracked versions and everything worked til 1.39. Thanks for your time

The same happened to me too, but I think it would be best to wait for the new fix. The update was released yesterday, and I'm sure Admin is trying to fix this quite soon. I updated as soon as I noticed the new patch and that's when the game crashed

You just saved me Admin! I actually was checking to see IF I could update to 1.39! Thanks for the warning!



Also, and this is just a suggestion, you may want to put warning and update notes to your HOME page (http://www.games4theworld.org/index.html). When I come to games4theworld, your home page is the first thing I see.

Just out of curiosity, why do they CONSTANTLY keep on updating this game?

I mean, they're not adding anything new as far as features or anything else that I'm aware of...

So what gives with all the frequent updates?

Well, they do bugfixes, just to fix stuff they did mess up with with the release of Supernatural, and then of course adding some bugs back into the updates, so they make you to have a reason to wait for the next update to see if they fix it.

Also, I think they like to continue updating to mess up the lives of people like us who smooch on pirated software hahaha..

Here is a link I found for an early 1.39.3 crack and super patch. I'm not entirely sure if it works yet because I don't wanna risk the time I spent re-installing. However, if someone on here decides to try and succeeds with the update; please be kind enough to inform us all. Thank you

I just looked at what the update is for on the Sims3 site after seeing this post.

YOU SHOULD ONLY NEED TO UPDATE YOUR SIMS 3 GAME if you have the ONE and ONLY problem of your ZOMBIES re spawning after the full moon. Nothing more then that. As an advisement as to not be messaged about UPDATES please DO NOT USE THE LAUNCHER TO START THE GAME. Use a Short Cut to bypass the LAUNCHER, it can also load quicker. I only use the launcher if I have downloads I want to install, I never start the game using the launcher.


To make a short cut to the game go to this location and file and right-click -> make shortcut, then move file to desktop. For most this destination should work.
This is me using Win7, if your not using win7 it will not have (x86) in the destination.
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Game\Bin\TS3W.exe"


I probably will not download the update unless I develop the issue.

WHEN DID THE SIMS 3 GET A MASTER SUITE STUFF PACK, LAST I KNEW THAT WAS ONLY FOR SIMS 2???

In all honesty, smart money says you should wait for G4TW to do the heavy lifting when it comes to ANYTHING regarding this game. They're always right on the money and, from what I've experienced, the help they provide here HUGELY surpasses any other web site I've ever been on. I mean, I know other sites have cracks and patches, but when it comes to the Sims 3 in particular, you'd be better off waiting for the guys and girls here to get the work done before you do anything...

The link was crap, I know lol I recently tried it. I'm done messing with my OCD obsession on updating Although, I could use some help on my store content. I've done the MTS package guide and I still can't get anything to show up in my laucher for install. The game runs great with every expansion. Do I need to installn the store content through the launcher or are those 4 big store files (1-40) automatic scripts? The last 2 show up as mod scripts in the main menu (20-40). Also, if they're automatic; will all other packages including sim packs be auto or do they install regularly?

i have recently downloaded The sims 3 supernatural and everything was working fine, i have put in the serial code and half way through the installation process i have this error message come up:

CRC error: C:\Program Files(x86)\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3
Supernatural\ Caches\Moonlight Falls.objectCache doesn't match the file
in the setup's .cab file. The medium from which you are running the
setup may be corrupted; contact your software vendor.

anyone able to help??

I assume you got the Supernatural from here? If not, that could be a lot of your problem. Now if you did get it here, maybe you should try the following:

1) Prior to installing remove your MODS completely from the directory.

2) Delete your cache files (not too sure if this helps or not, but it worked for other folks on another SIMS forum)

3) Reboot your PC (so it can be nice and fresh)

4) Try to re-install again as the administor (right click the Sims3EP07Setup and select "Run as Administrator.



IF it still won't work, then maybe your files were corrupted and just re-download and try again.

Changes are if you don't know what a MOD is, then you don't have any. MODS are little packages that allows the game or the sims to act a certian way, they could be careers or a whole bunch of various add-ons that gamers have made for other gamers.

If you did have mods you would find it in "My docments" then "Electronic Arts" then "The Sims 3" if you don't see the MODS, then like I said, you don't have to worry about that step.

Try the right click on the SIMS3EP07Setup and select "run as admininstrator".

Also, when you were installing the first tie, did the installation "update sims"? If so, I'm wondering if it kicked you up to patch 1.39??

yes it updated to 1.39.... i have just found the whole DO NOT UPDATE TO 1.39!!!! :s guess im too late on that one haha any ideas what i could do now to get it to work x

If you have a lot of expansions and such, I would wait for ADMIN to get his fix for 1.39 up and running. Otherwise you are looking at a complete uninstall and re-install.

Now if there's a way to downgrade back to 1.38, I don't know how. You could drop ADMIN a message or go on the chat box and ask whomever is online?
