Hey everyone. I got rid of all previous inferior installations and I've started downloading the Games4theworld versions of Sims 3 and the expansions. I have the base game and 4 expansions so far (World Adventures, Showtime, Ambitions, and Supernatural) as I can only download when nobody else is online Smile. I followed the instructions in the ultimate fix instruction file after updating to 1.42, but I still get an error when I run the launcher that states 'There was an error during startup. Please see the Log for more details." I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong, because as far as I know I followed the instructions.

That worked! Thanks. Now I'm having issues getting the game to actually start without "Please insert disc" for whatever expansion. Going to search the forums and stuff for that solution now!

That should be solved with correctly following the Ultimate Fix.

Yup! Went and looked at those instructions immediately after posting, everything works and just got Generations installed! Going to look at some custom content and then play my (now working) Sims 3, thanks to Games4theworld and the kind folk of this forum Smile. Great people, great help. Thanks again.
