Weather problems Empty Weather problems

Post by Guest Thu 15 Nov 2012, 01:22

I’ve been playing seasons for a couple of hours now, and I noticed
that all the clouds I PREVIOUSLY HAD in the sky just disappeared. The
the sky is always clear and the sun is always shining, even when it's raining. During storms it gets a bit darker, but still no clouds. I can’t have foggy weather either - I tried to set it using a
cheat…. Sad(( I’m SO disappointed, since I was really looking forward to the overcast weather. Has anyone encountered anything similar yet…?

The only mods I use are decensor and overwatch by Twallan, and both are updated. I haven't noticed any other bugs yet, apart from a lag, but that was predictable. My graphics card is not the best. Can this be the cause...?

Thanks in advance for any tips...

Hello,

I'm not sure, but try checking your in-game settings.
Is everything on max?

Hi,
nope, actually only the sim details is maxed, everything else is lowered.
I tried playing without decensor yesterday and I can see the clouds again but still no fog, never. So there must be something else too.

Hi,
I had this problem first time I tried seasons, because I forgot to remove a mod which change timescale and water color.
Maybe there's modification made by some mods in your *.ini files?
Normally, you don't need max details, medium is enough to see rain, snow...
Try to reinstall and see...
In last case, reinstall from beginning Sad
Good luck

Oh boy, I had my visual effects set on low... Weather problems 2279017149
Okay I'm gonna try MEDIUM now, but I'm afraid it will lag too much. I also set draw distance to low, maybe it will help.

Hello,

You may as well put everything on medium and try, that's including the sim details. turn off advanced rendering and smooth animation, also turn off reflections, consider lowering the resolution.
You should be able to run it reasonably on medium settings, unless your graphicscard is really bad. I have an nvidia geforce 7600 GS with the settings on medium, my monitor cannot exceed 1024x768, but it worked well on a slightly higher resolution as well before I had to start using the spare monitor.
