freezes and shuts down in CAS.

I have the retail base game, and every expansion pack..i finally loaded seasons...it works great when playing and everything except in Create A Sim, it freezes after about 5 or 10 minutes, and crashes...whats the deal? i have patched correctly, and have the ultimate fix...please help!!!!

It's happening to me too. Must be a bug in the game because it never happened before.
Hope they fix asap.

it is extremely annoying!!!!! i repatched everything that seemed to help with the freezing during create a sim, but now it just crashes every so often...crashes before i get the chance to save damn it! LOL:P

Tell me about it!! I was creating like the best Sim ever (yay me! LOL) and then... CRASH!!
Buuuuuut, do you want to know what I did? I'm going to tell you anyway:
I uninstalled everything, all the expansions and pack stuff, even the base game.
Installed the base game and updated to 1.42 with the manual patch, the 1GB one. Installed Seasons and I'm playing as it should be... And everything is running perfectly, I created a Sim, I created a house and now I'm trying to seduce everyone in town.

So now I'm gonna install all the rest one by one and gonna see if there's any trouble once I'm done installing all of them. If this happens, I'll know what is the expansion that's bugging me. So maybe it'll work for you too. It sucks, I know, but maybe is the only solution till EA fixes this Mac bug. (My sister is not having any trouble at all in her PC, so I'm guessing is a Mac thing, as usual).
If you do as I did, let me know how it goes, ok?

A lot of people are having CAS crashes after installing either 1.42 or Seasons. It's an EA problem, for the most part. All we can try are stop-gap measures until we get some action from the corporate side of things.

It's true but you know what? I uninstalled everything again yesterday and only have installed Base game, World Adventures and Seasons now, and the game is running perfectly. I'm going to install the rest gradually and see how it goes.

I hope the fix that problem ASAP.
