Sims 3 shuts down my computer

I have been playing the Sims 3 for a while. It has been running fine. Now it shuts down my computer after 15-20 mins of play. I have the following installed:
Sims base v1.57
World Adventures
Ambitions
Late Night
Pets
Supernatural
Seasons
University
Island Paradise

I have about 75 CC installed, and 5 Twaillan Mods. I have 3booter installed and my number in right corner vary between 17-30. I also have v-sync on

I have downloaded v1.63.4 , and Into the future but have not installed yet, due to my PC shutting down.

Hello,

You can try turning off V-Sync, and lowering your in-game graphics options. Other than that, it looks to me like there might be a problem with the cooling system of your computer; but you might want to wait for a second opinion from another Helper/Mod on this.

And if you haven't done that yet, (re-)download and (re-)install the latest graphics drivers.

Also, is that a desktop computer or a laptop ? If it's a laptop, you should also keep in mind that most laptops aren't made for "hardcore-gaming".

Sorry if I added too much nonsense. It is a laptop. I have a cooling pad my CPU fan is working. I download core temp and CPU stays around 67 C. I will try with V sync off and see if that works.

Other than Carlos' suggestion, you can alter the following:

Change "Conformant Texture Clamp" to "Use OpenGL specification"
Change "Force Mipmaps" to "Trilinear"
Change "Texture Filtering - Trilinear Optimization" to "On"

See if that works or not.
