Changing lot types

When I try selecting a lot type for anything(or really anything that has that drop down menu) i'll click on it, it'll drop down and before I have a chance to click on anything, pops right back up. What can I do to make it stop and am able to scroll through the options? Cuz now my saloon is a Chinese Garden type lot Facepalm

Also why isn't there any bartenders/mixologists in the super natural bars? Every time I go to one, there's no bartenders nor can I moonlight as one.

No mods and some cc, I remember I had this problem before then it stopped and now its back

Well you should be able to scroll through the options using the middle mouse button. try that? Also, see if in windowed mode it will do this as well. Let us know how it went.

It doesn't work with the middle mouse button, and what do you mean by windowed mode?? Also it won't even let me change the screen size...

Umm from the options menu, in the main menu, just choose the resolution for the game. uncheck the run in full windown option and it should be made into a windowed one. After that, restart game and go for it again.

Well that's strange. A friend had that and windowed mode fixed it. Let's wait and see if someone has something to add to this. By the way, is it fatal really? Just as long as you specify community or residental lot, they should be playable fine. just the fact that for example a lounge could come up as a consigment store etc.

About no bartenders in Moonlight Falls is be cause of the bars it self - there are not Late Night bars. So you should replace them with bars from Late Night.

Just typical EA to do a thing like that.

To your other problem - I'm not sure what you mean, so I can't help.

Hello,

Did you try it without your CC? Better yet, try this:
Go to Documents\Electronic Arts and backup and remove the The Sims 3 folder and see if it works. It could also be bad caches and this rules out everything at once.

It's not so much as fatal, as it is annoying, it's for every drop box(lots, party types, screen resolution) and I have to quickly read and click in hopes of changing anything.

And about the bars, why would they tell you to have a drink at one of the super natural bars and there's no bartenders?? I hate when they give me those opportunities when I can't even do them. Oh well, I'll just change the bars.

No I haven's disabled the cc, because I never did it before and don't know how to hahah, and if backup the folder wouldn't it still keep the caches?

(And sorry, i'm still new to forums and I don't know how to quote people Facepalm

)

Hello,

The "qoute" button is at the top of someone's post Wink

No if you backup the folder, and then remove it, your game will generate new caches when you start it.
Your saves etc will be safe in the backup folder to be placed back if everything works.
