PLEASE HELP!!! UPDATE 1.47

Im trying to update to 1.47. I applied the first half of the fix but when i went to do the manual patch, the wizard and then a message popped up saying "the installed version of the application could not be determined. The setup will now terminate." i click ok and it closes out the patch wizard completely. I have done this repeatedly, i even tried to download a new patch file and i got the same result. PLEASE HELP!!!

As for the error, where did you get your base game from, exactly?

I believe it was from this site. However I do own a store bought copy of the Sims 3 so there is a chance that I do have the store bought copy installed. But I do think it is the copy from this site.

Store bought as in completely original? (So not a pirated copy you bought in a store)
And did it (or would it) actually install via the DVD or via Origin?

And another thing: if downloaded from Games4theworld, do you still have the .rar file you downloaded?

It was the Sims from the here and I don't have the .rar files?

For your ease, I recommend doing as follows:

*Back up your savegames

1. Completely uninstall The Sims 3 base game, using Your Uninstaller! Pro from www.games4theworld.org . Use the "Super Mode".
2. Restart your PC.
3. Re-download and reinstall the Games4theworld version of The Sims 3 and all expansions you like, following these instructions at all time: https://games4theworld.forumotion.com/t1171-must-read-how-to-install-the-sims-3-correctly
4. Test the game and let us know the result.
