Sims 3 Seasons: file format 'file'

Hi,
I've downloaded Sims 3 expansion packs before, so I know how to install them, but this time my computers just doesn't recognize the file. I've downloaded the Sims 3 Seasons and now it's just one huge file and it says the file format is 'file'. I've tried opening it with various programs, but none of them seem to work. Can someone help me?

Hello,
Right-click the file and choose "rename" from the drop-down menu.

Nope, won't work. It says it is opened in the system?

Hello,
Please remove the changes you made and then right-click on the file and choose "Open with...".
Now, choose WinRAR from the program list (Search for it on your PC, if needed). If you don't have WinRAR, please download it from www.games4theworld.org . DO NOT use any other software.
Set WinRAR as the default program. After opening it, please read the included "# Installation Guide.txt". Good luck!
