I know I can hire an employee for my house, and when they arrive it states that I can but them at a certain bar, can I put them in my bar venue's or not? Hello,

No, you just place the appropriate items (bar, cash register, ....) and choose the right community lot for what you want your venue to be and when your sims visit that lot, the right personnel will be in place.

Which sims game are you talking about, 2 or 3? Since you're asking about a home business it makes me think of Open for Business.
