Can't Install CC from Store.[SOLVED]

Hey,
I have a problem, it's been a month I don't play The Sims, because I tried to reinstall it. But it seems something might have changed. So after I installed all the EP and SP (except Pets, and Master Suite Stuff) I tried to install all CC. And when I installed .sims3pack cc this message popped out
"It looks like you have installed an unofficial game modification that does not match your current version of The Sims 3. We recommend that you either uninstall these game modifications or get updated versions of them - otherwise you may experience crashes or significant bugs."
While it was just fine and worked well before the re-installation (never that message popped out). I've applied fix and done what the instructions showed me. I did it all before and the game ran just smooth, just some glitch like error 12. But that's old issue. And oh.. I've updated the game to the latest version 1.42 (and I also used the that fix). I really want to make it back as before I installed this game.

Could anyone tell me the solution? or tell me what might have gone wrong? Shocked

It's the crack or mods. Definitely not the store updates.
Would you mind showing us a screenshot of the folder you copied the crack to?

actually before updated it to 1.42 version, I placed that crack on this path C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Game\Bin ... Then I placed the crack again after finished updating

Hello,

That looks 100% correct, so it must be a mod. Look at Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3 and backup and remove your mods folder. Now, start the game to see if the error goes away.

the game works just fine, only some CC from the sims store

Hello,

The problem is, that this error isn't caused by store stuff. It never is, those are just objects and if they aren't right it's just the object that doesn't work right. but it has no effect on gameplay. It must be something else.
Would you mind showing a screenshot of Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3?

hmm .. yeah, I never experienced this before. Is this related to "version update" for each EP&SP I updated before the installation progress running? It's just weird that I just found this issue not before this.

Never use The Sims 3 Launcher to install CC as it 1/2 bugs...
I used to use it, had loads of CC and half of them weren't even installed
So instead I used Magic CC--> http://www.modthesims.info/download.php?t=461888

You can choose which CC you want to use, and everything works perfectly!
It doesn't mess up your game, and it's easy to use Very Happy

P.S I'm not advertising, I'm helping G4TW members Razz

Hey there. I used to use TS3 Launcher without issues, well guess this is worth a shot.

I have a question regarding decrapifying files before using it. Should I decrapify all files or just some files which having issue?

That's not going to solve this error though. Here's your screenshot, with the Mods folder circled:

Can't Install CC from Store.[SOLVED] Exampl10

Please backup and remove that folder, and start your game. The error should be gone. Now you can start looking at the mod packages inside the mods folder to see which one is causing the error. You can do this by putting back your mods a few at a time. When the error returns, you'll know which mod it is. That one is outdated and needs to be updated.

You're right. Ah it's gonna be pain in the ass to find the cc causing issue Facepalm

And if there are mods outdated, how to update it? Should I redownload it? However, it's all now working. I can't thank you enough for helping me out solving this issue.

Hello,

Do you have a lot of mods? If you only have a few, just put them back 5 at a time until the problem returns. That'll allow you to narrow down which one (or ones) cause the problem and you'll have to see if the mod's creator has updated it.
Note that custom content in packages doesn't cause this error, so if you downloaded objects, hairs, etc. in .package format, you don't have to test them.

yeah, my mods are around 292. And it's only one mod that makes this issue, awt hack something. I was like checking it over and over, but it's worth it. Once again, thanks folks, that have enlightened me.

For now, nope. There's just some glitch I experience when I'm playing it, but it's me running some programs. however, it's all working again.

So it's solved, but if there's any question next time, just don't get tired answering my questions. haha
