How-to Manually Patch?

Usually my launcher updates for me, but now it gives me a "Download Error" window.
Manually patching is my only alternative.

Question 1:
Where can I download the 1.42 patch for macs?

Question 2:
What are the steps to manually patch it? I'm new at this.

This is my Version/Region: 1.33.2.015002
I need the patch for 1.42 region #2

As far as I know, EA removes the old Mac manual patch when a new one is released - don't ask me why. The PC ones aren't removed.

You might be able to find a mirror for the 1.42 Mac version though.

Hello, my apologies. I had copied/pasted the wrong version in my opening post. I have corrected my mistake.
My game is not updated to the latest patch, which is 1.42. Which is what I need to find.

Honestly, I'd just like to know where to find a mirrored download. Atomicgamer might be one good site...
But as for my last question would anyone be able to answer it? it doesn't matter.

I found a manual patch herel, but it will patch you to 1.47, not 1.42 but that's ok because luckily for us G4TW is awesome and just released the 1.47 ultimate crack.

The first link is to update from 1.42 to 1.47, but the one under it is for any version to update to 1.47. Hope this helps!

EDIT: I have no idea if this uses the launcher or not, btw.

It upsets me that I wasn't able to get patch 1.42 from MTS in enough time...

Now that 1.47 is out, I'm conflicted since I have no interest in The Sims 3 beyond the latest expansion (Seasons).
