sims torrent not downloading

I'm using my college's internet to download the sims expansion torrents because my home internet only gets like 80kb/sec. It downloaded one of them and part of 2 others but most of the time it doesn't work. Like now, it just says downloading but there's no download speed and ETA is infinite. I've tried to wait it out all day but nothing happens. The other day it randomly started downloading after waiting hours. But there's no indication that it's doing anything now. Please help. Thanks..

It sounds like it could be a problem with the ports, they have to be forwarded properly to get decent downloadspeeds. Which torrentclient are you using?

I'm using utorrent I think. Is that what you mean

I'm also having the same problem, using uTorrent, however mine is a green checkmark.

I get the green check mark when I use a different connection and it downloads, but how do I fix it so I can use my school's connection? I've downloaded with it before so I'm not sure what happened to make it stop working.

Hello,
Perhaps it's blocked at your college. It could be a recent measure. I doubt you can forward the port there, you'd have to access the modem.
