Multitab 6000 will not work after trying everything possible to fix it

Hi so I know there is a topic about this, and I have posted in it with no response.

I have tried everything to fix the multitab from reinstalling to starting a whole new sims3 folder in my documents.

I'm at a total loss for what I do next. I did see that someone got theirs to work by updating the resource.cfg, the only thing is, I don't know how to go about this. I've searched the internet and cannot find where to get a new one. I got my original on modthesims. I would really like this item to work, because when I had it before I installed seasons, I used it for everything. It's my favorite item from the store and I would really like to use it for the tabcast. My ice cream machine won't work either but I'm not too concerned about that. I've honestly just wasted 4 hours of my weekend to try to fix this item. I guess I could live without it until there is legit fix for it, but I really don't want to.



Also I love this site and I have been a fan since I found this download from tpb, thank you guys for everything you do!

Go to http://www.mediafire.com/?8hvd25izaiea4 and download the "How to install .package files - pdf". From the link provided (modthesims) download the "Framework". In it you find a file called "resource.cfg"; this file goes to Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 3/Mods (replace the old with the new one). And make sure you always download the latest Store fixes from the mediafire account...

I actually have a possibly older "resource.cfg" file myself, but I have no problems with the multitab. So you've already tried removing your sims 3 folder ? You made sure that you have no incompatible or outdated mods/CC items ?

I do not use mods what so ever, I only downloaded the mods folder for the store fix because I thought that would work.

That is the already the one I downloaded, but I can try again. Maybe I will try the fix again as well.

I just updated today, so I figured I would try to fix everything while I'm at it. But so far, I haven't been successful

Edit: So I just did all of that and I am hoping it will work, but I doubt it will as it is the exact same one I had downloaded. I'm about to just take the loss and enjoy the other premium content items.

I suppose you've carefully followed the instructions in the store fixes folder ? Because the "ccmerged.package" in the DCBackup folder needs updating too.

Thank you for that, but the ccmerged.package file was included in the fix just in case this is what I had done, but it wasn't as I had already created a new one when I deleted the sims3 folder in my documents.

The only thing you should need to do after applying the fixes and everything would be to buy a new multitab in the game. Did you try that at all? Also, when did it stop working?

Yes I did buy a new one. Once it didn't work I didn't even bother having it so I always sell it once I test it out. I also had it working right before I installed seasons and applied the manual update.

Yes Lady ElDi ,I can try that right now and let you know how it goes.

So the wood fire oven has no interactions what so ever. So I'm assuming that means it does not work. What should I do at this point?

I am going to redownload and apply both the sims 3 fix and the store fix and see if that helps
