I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. Having issues installing Generations. [SOLVED]

Ok, so i'm gonna try to be through as I possibly can.
I already have
the sims 3 and sims 3 nightlife with me at home and fully installed on
my computer. A friend introduced me to this website, so before i started
downloading all the expansion packs, i download Generations because
thats one of the requirments.

Once I downloaded it, i unziped it
using win rar, into its own folder. I clicked on where it says Autorun
to start the installation because the instruction said i needed to
install it before i apply the manual patch. When that happened, its asking me for basically a product key. are we suppose to find it on the internet?(thats my first problem).
When i install the manual patch it just basically updates my sims 3 game.

Then
i Installed the latest ultimate fix and read the instructions. I
dragged the two files(TS3W & TSLHOST.dll) from the "season
supernatual diesel"etc folder into the base bin of sims 3.

I
opened sims 3 launcher and updated it and it updated fine. The only
problem is that my base game isnt 1.47 and the Generations didnt
install. I still added the cracked files into the bin and its still not
working.

Can someone tell me where i went wrong please?

For the product key, it's included with the download, in the "installation guide"

:(Okay, my friend tells me that I have to read the installer instructions and it gives me the product key. So i now have it installed and it works! So far
