patch 1.47 ultimate fix. [SOLVED]

do i have to download the base game from here for it to work? i used my store bought base game and i had to use the manual patch,and when i did i got an error message saying "the installed version of the application could not be determined" i uninstalled and reinstalled my base game and every expansion and it happened again. what now?

I'm not sure how to fix your problem but i do know you do not need the base game from here for it to work because i also have the retail version of the base game but ep's from here and the ulimate fix worked fine for me.

This is a known issue on the EA forums and no one from EA has posted about it yet. One poster said it could be caused by EADM not being installed, certain mods being installed or a non-standard installation folder (ie: if you installed it outside of Program Files). Doesn't solve your issue, but it might give you some stuff to look into (ie: remove mods, install EADM - even if temporarily - if you already have EADM, make sure it's the latest version, etc etc etc).
