What do you think about each and every single expansion or stuff? Empty What do you think about each and every single expansion or stuff?

Hello ladies and guys!

I had the idea of posting this questioning page, particularly after seeing the people complaining or pleasing about expansions or stuff packs.

So let's say: what say we all give our personal opinion? For each and every expansion or stuff you've tried and played, you put a note, let's say a percenting note, like %.

You can explain your reasons too. It would be fantastic!

I'll give you my own reviews:

01 - The Sims 3 - Base Game : 89%
I loved it because it was the very first start of the game's franchise. I played it without expansions or stuff packs for over a year. I didn't know Games4theworld existed, so I couldn't buy all the stuff, as I was very poor (and I'm still poor, lol). I loved Sunset Valley a lot. And I sometimes still stick with this neighbourhood.

02 - The Sims 3 - World Adventures : 94%
This Expansion Pack really, really amazed me, particulary with the Martial Arts new feature. As I am a very good Martial Artist for myself (I train and meditate at least an hour a day), I found it very important for the game to have the Martial Arts feature. About the vacancies and tomb exploration things, I simply loved it.

03 - The Sims 3 - High-End Loft Stuff : 73%
Nice Stuff Pack. Adds very fashioned objects and furnitures to my appartment. Not much more to say about it.

04 - The Sims 3 - Ambitions : 91%
This Expansion Pack had realized another of my wishes: the wish to be self-employed. My wife in the Sims can now be a self-employed author, and I can be a writer for myself. Love it.

05 - The Sims 3 - Fast Lane Stuff : 45%
I'm really not a vehicle enthusiastic. I hate cars, and I hate pollution. I prefer to hike, bike, climb or jog. I'm not fond of cars. I walk 2 hours every weekend morning at 6 to go train at the gym, may it be snowing or thundering.

06 - The Sims 3 - Late Night : 97%
Most impressive Expansion Pack! Loved the added instruments and the new ''bars and parties'' stuff. My sims are now party masters!

07 - The Sims 3 - Outdoor Living Stuff : 79%
A nice Stuff Pack, adds to my outdoors loving, in fact. Love to make fires in the back of the house with my children. But with Seasons Expansion, sometimes it gets spoiled because of rain. lol.

08 - The Sims 3 - Generations : 51%
Not pretty impressed with this one. Dammit, I've been really decieved. I thought babies and children would be even more cared for. Yet.... I can still do much more in real life than in The Sims3... For my children of course. I've been disappointed. The only thing I loved about this one is the ''Young Again Potion'', from Lifetime Gifts.

09 - The Sims 3 - Town Life Stuff : 56%
Weeeeeeeell, pretty plain for me. Not much to say 'bout that one.

10 - The Sims 3 - Pets : 100%
Ah, now you're talking baby! The Horses!!! I am a very good Jockey, as I did competitions while a teenager, and I was pretty good at it. In real life, I have my own stallion and I visit him twice a week on winters, three times a week during summers. I always do horseback riding, and I'm very very fast. I can jump high too. And in the Sims 3, I AM the very king of the Jockeys. Not only the father, but every member of the family!

11 - The Sims 3 - Master Suite : 98%
I loved that one. As a *** admirer, I loved to make the Sims 3 wedding bedroom the most romantic and decorated as possible. My gay and straight couples in the Sims 3 CANNOT complain they've had the worst first *** night of their lives!

12 - The Sims 3 - Showtime : 96%
That one is pretty cool. Now I can sing too! I used to have an acrobat for sim to control, he was not only a top of the world acrobat, but a heartbreaker! lol.

13 - The Sims 3 - Katy Perry's Sweet Treats : 0%
I supposed this Stuff pack to be a pure joke from EA Games. Okay look: I may be gay, but I'm NOT a girlish sissy who wears dresses, wigs and makeups. This is NOT my style. Katy Perry loves that, and I hate everything that had to do with women's fashion. I love to be a man, and to be honest, if a male Sim in my game had pink weared, I would be the one saying: faggott.

14 - The Sims 3 - Diesel Stuff : 84%
After that Joke from katy Perry, I found this Stuff Pack much more cool. The fashion and fruniture were nicely made.

15 - The Sims 3 - Supernatural : 95%
Very Cool and relaxing Expansion Pack. Nights of the Full Moon are very dangerous now, and I love it! Thank goodness I'm a Martial Artist! No one can touch me!

16 - The Sims 3 - Seasons : 100%
This is my best expansion ever. Particularly with the Festival lots. Love 'Em. I always use all weather and all seasons. With my very very powerful PC (it's performance rate on system control panel is over 7!), the game is simply wondrous, especially during thunderstorms or snowstorms.

17 - The Sims 3 : 70s, 80s & 90s : 87%
Not much to say, as it just came out yesterday. But I still like it. I am a 90s child, but in Africa, the 90s were not like the ones from USA. The Kenyan 90s were very very dangerous.

I really love the Season Expansion Pack! But its pretty sad that some of my neighbour got struck by a lightning.....

I would love to try out the Supernatural Pack because I like the PlantvsZombies feature in that pack. But I don't really like the others.....

Oh yeah, the lightning!

It never ever happened to me in fact. Neither to any of my neighbours. I will give you the trick I used for no sims diying at all.

Download Twallan's story progression mod. Then set the town settings so that all the needs bars never drop and stay static. Then don't forget to set the death push to a very far negative number.

By doing that, the sims in your town never ever dies, never ever need to eat, to go to the bathroom or go to sleep. That way, neighbours were still out in the parks at 12h00 am and even 3h00 am. Lots of them! And when the lightning stroke one of my neighbours, do you know what happened?
Thanks to the negative push death value from Twallan's story progression, the neighbour just got all dirty. He had hair stand on end and was fuming. He simply went for a shower in the gym, and when he came back, he was as good as new.

No, they won't if you disable the aging process with EA options. But I prefer doing the immortal options from Twallan's story progression. You know, I play in Carl and Pam's Union Cove Seasons, as it's the best world I've ever played in. With all of twallan's mods installed, every single eps, sps, ea store stuff, pandora super nude patch, and cmomoney's cigarette smoking mod, I am in business with the game's best reality. Sims never die, sims are immortal, The Overwatch mod keeps the world from stuterring.

In fact, my friend, last year i've got a very powerful pc from a friend of mine, and the game never ever lags, and it simply works like a charm, no matter how many sim days passed.

The more powerful your pc is, the more wondrous Sims 3 game is for players. I have everything settings maxed out, EVERY SINGLE ONE, and the game is perfect. But, remember, I had to pay pretty expensively for such a PC, and it's my treasured gamer PC. Say what, I'm sure it'll take Sims 4 very easily.

Another advice: too much mods can really really slow down sims 3 gaming. Especially if your pc is low-end. Try to keep the most imprtant mods you can have. I suggest Overwatch, Story Progession, Master Controller and Relativity. If you are an adult, take the pandora super nude patch with you: this gets your sims very (ahem) sexual and virile... and nude. If you think a sim in your game needs to be a smoker, take the cmmoney cigarette smoking mod. It's a wonderfully realistic mod,. All my sims smoke in the game. I am a smoker myself so... Well...

Stuff packs are never my cup of tea because I think it could just shove into the expansion pack itself. But it's EA, it's business.. They want money. /sigh

I don't really like the Stuff Packs much more than Expansion Packs neither, but I admit they can be really useful if you want to furniture a themed house, or just dress your sims in a Stuff Pack theme.

The very Stuff Pack I hate is Katy Perry's Sweet Treats. This is just for girls and womens. And if men really like it, they are sissies. I hate pink, woman's fashion and woman's stories. I stick to manly things. I may be gay, but I woudl be a lot embarassed if I would have to put on wigs, dresses or makeup. I hate that. Men shouldn't wear these.

The Stuff Pack I really loved though is the Master Suite. I'm a very romantic and sexual being, and decorating wedding and sexuality bedrooms very romanticly and fashionably is my strength in the sims 3. I particurlaly loved the four poster beds, with high-end decos, a wondrous wardrobe, some champagne near the dresser and then my sims can let their hair out after they went drunk. lol.

LOL!
I don't mind pink on a man. Pink can still be manly. My husband looks awesome in his grey suit, pink shirt and tie. Though it's not sugar-cane pink. But it's all about style and I didn't like any of the Katy Perry stuff to be honest. I never installed it.

Well let's see... I'm really bad at percentages, but I'll still share my thoughts. I'm not bothering with the stuffpacks though, since I haven't used any for about a year. And I don't really recall what I'm missing out on. I uninstalled the stuffpacks after Showtime came out to remedy game lag. It worked.

Base Game: I was glad that my pc would run it so when I was released, I downloaded it from razor I believe. It was quite a hassle eventually because patches and cracks had to be found separately. Anyway, the game itself was great! It had always bugged me that with TS 2 I had to choose between managing the entire town or looking at the same darn neighbours for generations. And I loved that I could visit neighbours. of course the lack of animals and weather was, again, disappointing.

World Adventures: Since I expected something similar to Bon Voyage I decided not to download it. I didn't want to put too much strain on my system and I hadn't used the vacation option much in The Sims 1 or 2 and I had already decided at that point not to install anything I wasn't going to use anyway.
But I installed it eventually after starting as a moderator here since I felt that I had to have everything installed to give proper support and I was pleasantly surprised by this stuff pack.

Ambitions: Another good one. Being able to work from home as an artist, inventor or a writer is, in my opinion, a realistic addition to the game. I prefer having one parent at home with the kids since the babysitter is expensive and otherwise useless (the one in TS2 at least did some cleaning) and I usually have the mother be self employed so she can keep earning money throughout her pregnancy leave, which is also more realistic. Since maternity leave isn't usually 18-24 months (do the math, she starts her leave at the start of the 2nd trimester and usually doesn't go back to work until at least the 2nd day of being a toddler, when using the default age pattern). I also enjoyed the professions, but didn't do as much with these since loading build/buy or CAS a lot of the time is slow and tedious on my pc. Though the PI is fun.

Late Night: What can I say. I was disappointed by the high rise buildings since I had expected and wanted more families to be able to live in 1 building. Bridgeport didn't really strike my fancy, but I'm not a city girl. The celebrity thing was fun for a while but after a few generations, almost half my population had 1 or more stars. Going out isn't my thing. Eventually I uninstalled Late Night last summer because I had heard about Seasons coming out. I miss the butler though, and some of the decorative objects I regularly used.

Generations: Didn't add that much but still enough for me to want to keep it. Especially the play ground objects, kids decorative objects en the stroller. Any mother or father can tell you that carrying a toddler is no picnic! They are heavy and wriggly. Adds to realism. However, I would've loved it if Generations added the option to breastfeed sim babies, being a lactivist myself. It was due to Generations coming out that I ended up here. I believe I was looking for a torrent, nothing on TPB so I googled it and ended up here. After that, I uninstalled my razor and vitality versions of previous expansion and stuff packs and redownloaded the set from here.

Pets: The first expansion I was really excited about! I love animals, I have cats and a rabbit and if I could, I'd have farm animals just for the heck of it. I haven't seen a horse up close for quite some time but when I was much younger I rode horses for years. I doubt I still can Sad due to the physical problems I'm experiencing after my pregnancies, but luckily I'm also experienced with a horse drawn carriage so all isn't lost. Anyway, I hardly ever create a family I'm going to play with that doesn't have at least 1 pet. Usually a cat or horse. Dogs not so much, but I'm not a dogperson so I'm a little biased I guess.

Showtime: Meh. Doesn't add to realism. I'm not prone to play "entertainer" sims, nor am I to have my sims go out so I glanced at this one and didn't really play it. It got uninstalled in favour of Seasons, just like Late Night.

Supernatural: Cute. But to me, that's all it is. Cute. I'm considering to reinstall it, but I'm not so sure since my current game is rather stable and I'm about to break my "no stuff packs" routine. I wouldn't mind a fairy, or a werewolf, but I have a feeling the same thing will happen that did with the celebs in Late Night so I don't know.

Seasons: Yes yes and yes. I was looking forward to this one just as much as Pets. I have played all of the seasons but I decided to create a small world to play to help with game performance. It's not finished yet, so I haven't been able to play much.

70's 80's and 90's stuff: Cant say anything about it yet, but I am going to install this one as an exception. Because I'm a fan of vintage stuff, especially 70's style. If it doesn't add up to my expectations, I'll just as easily uninstall it though.

I doubt I'll install anything else that's going to be released.

I generally love all the EPs but Supernatural not so much. Just not my cup of tea, as I like to keep my game more realistic. Late Night and Seasons are my top favorite.

I don't really get into Stuff Packs, but I just love the Diesel Stuff Pack. I was really impressed that they really focused on adding men's clothes. I feel a lot of the clothes on the base game is really dated, but the Diesel clothes is a lot more hip and modern.

Hello,

You can find all our torrents here (piratebay proxy) the size of each file can be found on the page. All Sims torrents are there, only in ascending order, not descending. You can switch that by clicking "uploaded" on top of the list.

What do you think about each and every single expansion or stuff? Empty Re: What do you think about each and every single expansion or stuff?

Post by The_gh0stm4n Tue 29 Jan 2013, 23:31

In my case, I'll start with what I don't like: namely this "Katy Perry Stuff" and the most recent one, the "70s, 80s and 90s Stuff".
As for Katy Perry's stuff, well there might be players who like these colorful outfits with cupcakes, fruits etc. all over them...But then: this stuff pack was probably intended to be an addition to "Showtime" (since Katy Perry's stuff was released shortly after that). Maybe some players might want their Sim to start off in the singing career, "look like Katy Perry" and also use the stage decorations like cupcakes, ice cream cones and fruits.

To the "70s, 80s & 90s stuff".. I mean it's perhaps because I don't have any connection to these decades, but I don't like most of the clothing and the hairstyles. Some of the disco items like the dancefloors and the glitterball look cool though Very Happy

Everything else is OK..But I especially like World Adventures, Late night and Seasons; I find travelling is an interesting and funny alternative to the "normal" neighborhoods. Exploring underground mazes, fighting mummies in Egypt Laughing and country-specific items like nectar, camera and the recipes are very nice things. Late night is almost self-explanatory, I love city life, nightclubs and all that. And the weather and season-specific festivals make the "Sim experience" even more complete.

What I find annoying are the numerous bugs and glitches in the Sims 3 series. It seems that every time a new stuff or expansion pack is released, new bugs appear. OK, the game is quite big and complex, and gamemakers constantly have to consider new developments in hardware and software (especially operating systems) probably even more with 'The Sims 3', while at the same time making sure that you don't (necessarily) need a brand-new powerful computer. But then, you could also point out that EA does not have any real competition in this context, which means less pressure; I mean is there another game which is comparable to The Sims 3 in gameplay AND popularity ? I find EA should focus a bit more on fixing bugs. Thanks to the numerous groups/individuals and their support like Twallan or the G4TW team, at least some of the errors can be corrected.
