The Sims 4 - Strangerville OUT NOW!! [Version 1.50.67.1020]

Alright then,

We have come up with a repack for the newest The Sims 4 gamepack "Strangerville"! It is 5.87GB in filesize, includes all 17 language strings, and a complete "Game"-folder. We recommend that before applying this pack, download and install the 1.49.65.1020 patch. As usual, please do make some arrangements regarding the mods that you use, a.k.a. filter out any old mods.

Special credits go again to @anadius for compiling the language strings of this patch/DLC version, and @Sim Architect for testing/uploading those 'alternative installers' of anadius! Now, there will be some more changes to the way we release these updates, and I'll suggest you read the following very carefully. 

For this patch version we will be foregoing direct download options. Yes, yes I know. "I live in a country where they monitor my traffic, I can't download through torrents!". And yes, you are being heard. But those of you following G4TW as of late surely have taken notice of certain...vibes, to use a euphemistic term. Certain things are becoming more and more problematic regarding our operations. And I suppose that is just the way the cookie crumbles. 

What this will mean? For the initial announcement we will refrain from posting direct download options for the actual DLC or patch. The plan is to focus on the torrent first, and after a little while, retro-actively edit this announcement and put up one or more direct download options. In the near future we're also considering to exclusively use magnet links, and not .torrent files anymore. But we'll see. If for whatever reason you cannot use torrents, you still have the option of using ZLOrigin, or wait until a direct download option becomes available on G4TW here. 18-24 hours from now, would be my estimate, but no guarantees. 

This change will certainly upset...quite a lot of people, but it is what it is.

Thanks! I have edited the announcement, and used one of my own GoogleDrive dummy-accounts here (the file import took maybe two seconds  ). I've also put up a secondary direct download mirror, on Uptobox.

Thank you guys for making this available to us so fast! 
However, I am quite new to this site and cannot get it to show up in game. I had previously downloaded The Sims 4 all-in-one including "Get Famous" [VERSION 1.49.65.1020] and I copied everything from this Strangerville update in my The Sims 4 folder but there is no Strangerville game pack in my game and I'm still on version 1.49.65.1020.
If anyone knows what I might've done wrong and can help me, I would be eternally grateful!

Did you extract the download with Winrar or 7-zip without any error messages ?
Did you copy the extracted files and folders to the The Sims 4 folder (not the one in Documents\Electronic Arts of course)
Overwriting existing files ?

Yes, I extracted with Winrar, there were no error messages. I also copied the files to Program files, not Documents, and clicked "Yes to all" during copying.

Nevertheless it looks like you've not copied the Strangerville files/folders to your existing The Sims 4 folder in Program Files.

I played the game with my super sim (I've completed all the aspirations, skills, careers and collections). I was like 2/3 through with the Strangervill aspiration when I had to travel back home but the game went on an endless loading screen loop and now when I try to even open that save file, it just keeps on loading. Seems like I have lost my super sim
I tested with another save file (that hasn't done any Strangerville stuff) and that loaded just fine. 
Any advice on how to fix my game?

You can try restoring previous version of the save: https://help.ea.com/en-us/help/the-sims/the-sims-4/how-to-restore-a-previous-saved-game-in-the-sims-4/

And next time don't play the game with untested mods. And make a backup of your saves from time to time.

I tired recovering the save btu it still won't work. The loading screen plumbob just freezes at a certain point and nothing happens after that. I've never had problems with G4TW uploads before. Sad...

Honestly, the Strangerville expansion pack is the EP that is making me consider finally taking the plunge into "Sims IV". I initially used your products to get "Sims III", and all the years of content (and store content!) I've experienced in that has been a blessing, even after I bought the base game on CD.

Hello and thank you so much for the quick upload, this might be my favourite pack yet, however...


I disabled defender, firewall etc. and tried multiple times to extract/copy everything, took out all mods... did everything recommended in the installation guide.
But the game won't start it says that something is missing, and to repair the game via origin. (85262c58:29f00e76:00000000:00000000)

Can someone give me an Idea of what I did wrong? I have the game on my D: drive on windows bootcamp (always in airplane mode) and it has given me some problems in the past, but replacing the game folder with a direct downloaded one used to fix the issues.
Hope I don't have to reinstall the whole game.

Hello, have the same problem - after playing game, the game just don't see the Strangerville pack inside. And tbh it's not my first download from G4TW so I believe  I know how to copy+past folders  Used torrent file - anyone had same?

I've just downloaded the update, using the first mirror link, which is Google Drive. You have to add the folder to you own drivre, then make a copy and download it

It's included in Strangerville

In theory you could apply this patch directly on top of "Get Famous", so no! You do not need to download any of the follow-up patches that came out after Get Famous.

help!!!!! whenever i try extracting files from winrar it keeps giving me error messages. it never did this before whats the problem and how can i fix it?
