Sims 3 Pets Problem.[SOLVED]

I don't know if this is my computer's problem or not. But I have to say the game is loaded freakly slow. This is not the main problem. The main problem is, when I try to load the game to the "Creating A Sim" session, I try to create a cat using the pre-made sims, but it the table of pre-made sims was loading so slow that I nearly fell asleep! Not only this table, but also the table when I try to adopt a pet via phone, the table for selection of pets was loaded slowly. I mean the pictures of the pets didn't show up, nor the pictures of pre-made sims. When the pet finally arrived, the picture of the cat should be shown in the box on the left, but it didn't. It is just a box with green colour. Why is that happening? Should I do something in the Options menu?

Well this is too bad. My game is very laggy and the sims sometimes lag
when walking even though i can still scroll my screen. What is
happening? Is the screen resolution too high? I think I should change
something in the setting. Any ideas?

Is it just the pet images that aren't loading?

This thread has some suggestions on how to deal with game lag, but how high do you ahve your settings at?

The configuration is 1048x664, and it is full screen!
