Separate Hard drive? Install Sims 3 in that Hard drive? [SOLVED] Empty Separate Hard drive? Install Sims 3 in that Hard drive? [SOLVED]

Post by Guest Sat 09 Feb 2013, 18:41

It's been too long since I've been on this website. a few months ago, my hard drive in the computer was too full so I had to delete all my Sims games. Now that I got a separate hard drive worth 750 gigs given from my friend, how can I install my Sims 3 games and put it into that hard drive? I'm trying not to mess anything that's already in that hard drive.

During the installation of the base game, just chose to have it installed on that drive. Just make sure not to remove that drive when the game is running/installing, and that if you do have to remove the drive, be entirely certain that it is recognized with the same letter as what it was when the game was installed, or else the games won't be recognized by any shortcuts made.

Hello,

Is it actually an external HDD or an internal one?

Hello,

Ah, I see. It's not recommended, but yes, it should work just fine, as long as you keep the eHDD connected whenever you want to play.
Note that you may lose data, shall the eHHD disconnect unexpected.
