Frozen Sims!

Hey all! I've looked around the forum and have found a few somewhat similar issues as my own but I've had no luck with their solutions.

My sim keeps freezing. She doesn't do it with all actions, though. It only seems to be when she's trying to change her outfit. She freezes when I tell her to take a shower, go to bed, etc etc. The rest of the game keeps going on around me. She stays in one place but moves slightly every once in a while and even gets the occasional phone call which she can't answer. I have all the expansions downloaded (With legal copies of the original sims 3 game and Ambitions expansion) and I've been playing the game for a few days with no problem like this before. If it has anything to do with it, the game crashed a few times yesterday but I was able to open it up with no problems.

Change your sims trait to Loves the Cold, it may help?
