Problem with updating 1.50 - ultimate fix. [SOLVED]

Heya all,

Just got the email about the ultimate simfix so I can update to 1.50 and went to try it out.

As normal followed the instructions to the letter, but upon opening the launcher I can see immediately that some of the expansions icons at the bottom are greyed out (Katy Perry, Diesel Stuff, Supernatural, Seasons, and 70s80s90s) - they aren't normally.

Anyhoo I go to refresh and update but it says I already am up to date? (Version 17.0.77.020001 - not sure how/if that number corresponds to the lastest update.)

For now I'll apply the crack and report back if the expansions I mentioned above are still there.

Just wondering if you can think of anything I've done wrong? Or failling that do you know when the manual patch download will be available so I can update?

Ok just ran the game and got a weird pop-up saying "it looks like you
have installed an unofficial version of the game bla blah blah... do you
wish to continue" -.-

I got this exact message ...

Luckily I still had the old simfix from January saved on my comp - I've reinstalled that and the game now works (but of course no 1.50 patch).

^Glad to see others are having the same issue (well not glad but you know what I mean)... means I'm not having a dizzy blonde moment!


edit: Maybe it didn't want to work due to the store content I have... Wonder if the new storefix thats just been released will make it work?

This error is either caused by an incompatible crack or an out-dated/corrupt Mod.

RE-DOWNLOAD both the manual patch and the Ultimate Fix, they've both been updated and MUST be re-downloaded.
