BLACK SCREEN but comp still runs. [SOLVED]

Im having the exact same problem as Celiitha posted. Its happened before until I fixed it with the compatibility mode. But then I installed Town Stuff recently and now when I want to build my dream house or just Edit Town it crashes after a few minutes or sometimes 30min-1hr later>>Black Screen, monitor goes to sleep after a second, computer stays on & it makes a sound like a fan on overdrive, I cant Esc or ctrl+alt+delete, I have to push power button<<

My base game is store bought. The rest I got from here: Town Stuff, Gener., Diesel, Master S.

I have no CC or mods

I have a HP Envy h9-1315t Phoenix desktop,
windows 8,
Intel core i7-3770,
64-bit OS,
AMD radeon hd 7670 1GB,
2T hard drive
& cooling system

RE-DOWNLOAD both the manual patch and the Ultimate Fix, good luck!

Yea im downloading the new patch and new fix, do i just apply from the fix folder "#Crack" or do I follow the fix folder installation guide??
oh and im also downloading now ambitions from here, so how would i install it w/o messing the rest of the game up?

If you install Ambitions as described in step 1, there's no need to worry.
