INSTALLATION CONFUSION! [SOLVED]
I've read the "HOW TO INSTALL THE SIMS 3 CORRECTLY" but I'm confused.
I thought that I DON'T apply cracks to the most recent expansions mentioned in the guide. So I installed and applied cracks for Sims 3 Base, Ambitions, World Adventures, High End, and Fast Lane...
Now I'm on Late Night and it says to completely uninstall then re-install without cracks...
So was I supposed to install the Base, 2 expansions and 2 stuffs without any cracks?
How can I NOT use anything in the cracks if I the installation guides say otherwise?
What exactly am I supposed to use in the crack folders?
Do I just install using the Sims3EP#setup.exe/Sims3SP#setup.exe?
PLEASE be specific/detailed! Thank you!

Re: INSTALLATION CONFUSION! [SOLVED]
Well, there's no real need to use ANY of the cracks until you get to the point where you have all the games you want installed.
So first you're going to just update using the manual patch, then install the games you want. The only reason you need to open the Installation guides is for the activation codes.
After you're done installing all of the games, RE-APPLY the manual patch. It will tell you you're already at that patch level, but do it anyways.
Then, you'll open the Ultimate fix, and just follow the instructions for the "#crack" folder. All the other instructions are there for if you wanted to update using the launcher, and are therefore pointless for you at this point.
I hope this helps, and if you need any more help, make sure to ask

Thanks, I think I'll be fine.lol...but...
I install base then update using the manual patch?
If so, will it pop up asking me to update OR do I download it from the link in the G4TW "*MUST READ* How to install The Sims 3 correctly." guide?

Re: INSTALLATION CONFUSION! [SOLVED]
YAY! FINALLY I have got my Sims game working on my new PC!! *dances around her living room*
mysticaries88, I basically followed the instructions given by invalidusername. Install base game, apply the games4theworld manual patch, install expansions & stuff packs in order of release (using NO cracks, just the setup.exe files that you mentioned), then patch & apply ultimate fix & cracks in ultimate fix folder. Perrrrfect
Edit: I also opened the launcher after installing each EP/SP to check if it wanted me to update. If it offered an update, I did it. But it didn't always require it.
Hope this is helpful!
