store fix help

Hi. sorry for this newbie question. but I've been playing sims 3 for a long time and still don't know/don't get what is store fix? 
Do i really need to install it when I'm installing a new world like lucky palms, sunlit tides, etc.
what does it do?
and how do i install the store fix? what shouldn't i install so it won't have a glitch to my university.
I'm really going crazy about my game
I keep on starting over because of the bugs and so much more :'(
pls help

I actually don't know the exact details of what the store fix does, but from what I understand it helps fix some problems with premium items. To install it you just follow the listed instructions.
Perhaps someone can explain it better.

Yes, the Store Fixes fix problems with in-game (Premium) items, like the Oven, Hot Air Balloon, etc.

Since the official mediafire account is down I downloaded the store fix from anither link I found on the forum. But there's no instructions about how to install it. All I have is:

Hello,
-The first one goes into Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\DCBackup
-The other fixes: It depends on which type of store content you use.
If you have sims3packs, it goed into Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Mods\Packages.
If you have packages or use ccmagic, it goes into Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Mods\Overrides
If you have both sims3pack and packages, it goes into both folders.
If you don't have a Mods folder, go here to get one.
You'll need the decrapped Storefix_Fixes.package from the rar you downloaded, not the other one.
If you're using Awesomemod, you don't need StoreFix_UnAwesome.package.
If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask.
