The Sims 3 Closes unexpectedly

I have all the sims 3 and expansion and stuff packs installed on my iMac. Its the Late 2012 model. Anyways it closes unexpectedly all the time. Is there a fix for this? Thanks in advance.

Is there any sort of error window that pops up after it closes? If so, what does it say?

If all else fails , try backing up your save files (located in "your name"/Documents/Electronic Art) and uninstalling all the expansions except for your base game and see if it works.

Another thing you can do is delete your Sims 3 Preferences and Caches located in "yourname"/Library/Cache and "your name"/Library/Preferences. For the Cache, just do a Spotlight search for sims3 and delete anything with "sims3" included.

Also , it also helps to "clean and repair" your Mac. A program called Onyx helps greatly, but you can also just go to Disk Utility and Repair Disk Permissions and Repair Hardrive.
