Cant open the sims

> Hi, Ive been trying to install all the the sims 3 games on my mac. And ive done all that you say in the guides and the fix. But when i start the game first outdoor living stuff opens (or just the little logo in the dock) but it closes almost directly. Do anyone know what ive could have done wrong?

Did you use the version of stuffit expander that is in the guide??

Okej now ive tried to install the game again and using the version of stuffit previusly mentioned. Now the the sims launcher opens but when i press play i get a black screen then a unknown error sign. I did as the fix installation guide said and when i tried to update the game it said i already hade the latest, so i couldnt update anything, could that be it?
