2 New Problems :( Halp!

Hi. I've been playing the game since last month. I followed the instructions given to me by an admin here and was able to play the game with no problems whatsoever. Recently, I started a new game cause I deleted my saved game by accident. In this new game, I encountered 2 problems.

1. I am getting invites to parties. When I'm on the location, there seem to be no party so I'll just go home or my sim would automatically head home. Then again, I am still receiving texts or calls that I missed the party. Why is that?

2. Another problem is, I cannot click on the cash register in the Elixir Consignment Store. When I click on buy from the Sim behind the counter, nothing will happen as well. In short, I cannot purchase or consign.

About #2: there's a mod which prevents paparazzis (I think it's called "NoPaparazzi" or so). Do you have that installed ? There's a known conflict with that mod and the alchemy shop.
I'm not sure about #1 though, maybe you could try removing all mods (if you have installed any) and see if a party is going on. If the problem is still there, it's probably a game bug.

Sorry to hear that your previous game was deleted. You should regularly make a backup of your saves; preferably on a USB stick, external drive, or similar.

OMG. I don't even know what mods are. All I know is I downloaded the base game and expansions (except for Pets) and installed them according to the instructions given to me by an Admin here. It was ok before. I can purchase from the elixir shop and attend parties. But when I created a new game after the deletion of my recent game, that was when the problem occurred.

So I assume that you have no mods installed..alright: you could rename your "The Sims 3" folder (in Windows it's located in Documents/Electronic Arts/). Write it e.g like this: "The Sims 3_". After renaming the folder and starting the game a new Sims 3 folder will be created - start a new save and see if the problem is still there.

In theory it's possible that your save somehow got corrupted, in that case you will probably have to start a new game anyway...

Alright then If you want, (and if you still have your old savegame) you can try putting back in your previous savegame and see if there are any problems. If you still get troubles, then your save might be really corrupted.
