i downloaded hogwarts castle from exchange and i tried to install it but it says that i have to check if the game has the latest updates ... what should i do ? sims exchange prob 2830496658

Read THIS here . It's even better if you have more than one lot/item to install (it's a bit tedious to do this for every single new item) Smile

A lot of items from the exchange are pretty buggy and tend to not work, either not installing, or just not playing right. Hopefully what Carlos suggested works, but if it doesn't, that lot may just not be playable.

Yep, I just downloaded a very beautiful house from the Exchange. I even managed to install it and place the lot. However, I can't go into buy/build by the "usual way" Shocked. If I want to modify anything, I have to use the SHIFT-click method.

Not sure if this is a bug or if you can somehow tweak your lot so that others can't modify it later on.

Hello,

The error may be unavoidable, it's a problem people with 100% legit games are experiencing as well. It's unsure what causes it, but decrapifying doesn't fix it.
I'd recommend looking for an alternative, there are probably several different options.

thanks i installed the hogwarts castle but now i can't find a place to set it cause there are many pieces of like part 1 , part 2 hugrid's hut and etc... any ideas ?

So there are several lots? Perhaps you can place the empty lots you need yourself.
