Hey, buddy...spare a good game? 2830496658

So, to make a long story short, my computer blow up now I'm forced to use my girlfriend's computer to get my video game fix. The only problem is the graphic chip is crap. I can play games from 2001 like Fallout Tactics, but I'm looking for other games to play from that year.

I'm looking for games like RPGs and maybe a good FPS. Anything from Star Wars is good. I could use some advice right now on any good 2001 games.

Thanks.

I know of a lot of fun (to me) indie games, but that may not be what you're looking for. Any examples of games you'd like, or that you absolutely don't want?

I know a million games. What I don't know is how is if you can run any of them, unless you tell us the PC specs. "Crap" doesn't say much, I consider my GPU crap by today's standards even though it can run almost every game perfectly XD

2001? Try TES MorrowinD (it's from 2002 actually), my personal favourite.
In case you're not familiar with Elder Scrolls, it's an RPG/Adventure/sandbox type game with a good story. I'll guarantee you many hours of gameplay with that game.

All good suggestions. I think I'll try the Marrowind. And the Dino one too.

I got Return to Castle Wolfenstein the other day. Good game. Hard as hell to play. Does anyone know if any of the Resident Evil games came to PC?

I believe all the main ones are on PC, but every single one that I've tried easily made the Top 10 crappiest PC ports of all time.

So no RE games for me then? Oh, well.

I can't find Morrowind. Does GFTW carry that? Also, my graphic chip is only 64mbs. I think. I can't find system specs on this Windows 7.

I have Sims 2 and all the EPs and SPs installed. The computer is running it, but I see alot of graphic problems. Like the entire hood will go black sometimes. Man, what I wouldn't give to have a working gaming com.

More EP's and SP's only affected FPS on my old PC, and my old PC was a real piece of crap, so I'm afraid to even ask what your specs are...

Anyway it was a:

-Intel Pentium 4 3.0 GHz
-768 MB RAM (later 256 MB, I flooded the 512 card when I ran GTA IV and a power surge hit, Sims 2 still ran with all expansions but every loading screen lasted around 20 minutes)
-ATi Radeon 9600 256 MB (later Nvidia GeForce 9400 GT 1GB, didn't make much difference as far as performance goes but I was able to run Shader 3.0 games)
-Windows XP SP2

Speaking of which, if your GPU doesn't support Shader 3.0 you can rule out most post 2007 games. Some games can be forced to use older shaders or none at all and run on unsupported graphics cards using a s*itload of emulators, but I wouldn't lean on it.

Hello,

Ah yes it's more than 10 years old so it'll look dated. I'm still playing it myself sometimes. It's one of the few games I own Razz

If you ever get stuck, this wiki is very good. An interesting read too, if you have some spare time.

Hello,

You might also want to try "S.W.A.T. 3", which came out in (I think) 1999.
On Piratebay (or "pirateproxy.net" if you can't access Piratebay) you should still find the "Tactical game of the year-edition" of it - from 2001.
