Game flickers. [SOLVED]

Helo,
Firstly i want to ask abt how can we play another family from the same town without loosing wishes and promises of the active household ??
However i selected to play different family from the same town, but it starts flickering
Before this switching household evrythng was working fine.
How to solve this flickering prb ? is it bcoz of mods installed ?

Hello,

First of all I would try to rule out any issues with your graphics card. For a start, you could look at this article here. (especially the section about graphics cards). And make sure to update your graphics drivers too !

As for switching the households: if you switch active households within a town and then later return to your original household, the lifetime wish, the relationships, skills and most of the items in the inventory remain as they were before you left. However, you will lose wishes and opportunities.
Maybe there are mods which can help with this issue, but I'm not familiar with that - so you'll have to wait for another Helper regarding this question.

Maybe cache deleting can help too - for the flickering (in Windows they can be found in Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 3):

-CASPartCache.package
-compositorCache.package
-scriptCache.package
-simCompositorCache.package
-socialCache.package
-plus the contents of the folders "WorldCaches" & "Thumbnails"

The link I showed you above may not be up-to-date anymore, so you might want to google for any information about issues with your graphics card.

But OK, there is something else: download and install the NRAAS "Selector". With that mod, you can select households by right-clicking on sims. Then see if this makes any difference.

Thnkss alot Carlos, uptil now game is working fyn. No flickering at all
But there's sme prb now with the job pannel, tht even its not the working hrs but its says missing work. So the whole day my sim is at work.

i have deleted one mod frm the mods folder, and the game seems to b working fyn.
