Unable to start the game Service initialization failed (0x039e8474) and (0x024e424f)

The screen just remain in black whenever i start the game then when I press alt+tab it showed this message
"Unable to start the game Service initialization failed (0x039e8474)"

I did a search on this and i found this solution

but after doing this (without updating since it said it was up to date and the only expansion i installed was town stuff) after the launcher it showed me a message saying
"can't connect to ea download manager"

then the same problem happened but it showed different characters (0x024e424f)

I have origins installed
My OS is windows 7
This error happened even before i had the chance to install expansions
I have uninstalled this game in the past (base game alone) and is now trying to play it again
I already cleaned my registry any sign of previous installation have been cleared up


Please help

nevermind the "can't connect to ea download manager" i got it fixed
oh and i have reinstalled numerous times

Which crack have you used?

Ok. Do you have mods installed? Any custom content?
Please go to My Documents and rename the folder "Electronic Arts" (add something at the end for example).
Then restart the game. Does it work?

Err this is embarrassing i didn't quite get you i should rename the folder "Electronic Arts" to what? what should I add?

Shamrock was talking about the folder with the name "The Sims 3". This folder is in My documents/Electronic Arts/. If you "rename" that folder (into whatever you want, for example like this here: "The Sims 3_") it will be "deactivated", if you wish. This is what we always recommend if someone has in-game problems.

However, if you never really "started" the game, there will be no such folder, so in that case don't be surprised if it isn't there .
