The sims 3 pets wont show any pictures

I recently downloaded the sims 3 pets on PC but whenever i launch it up there is an error saying unrecognized video card, but whenever i play it again the next time the start game screen doesn't show any pictures and wont let me start a new game or go on options.

Can anyone please help me with this problem?

Yes. What type of graphic card do you have, and is it up to date (check the drivers)?

i have an intel graphics card but i have the sims 3 on disk and that is working fine

Yes, but the newest expansions have different supports for graphic cards...
Is it up to date? Is it GMA 3-Series or GMA 4-Series?

well when i went onto device manager it was already updated and the graphics card is mobile intel(r) 4series express chipset family

Ok, my bad, seems like it's fine.
Then try and delete your Cache. Do you have any Custom Content? If not, delete both DCCache and DCBackup in My Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3.
Else, go ahead and delete the following:
-CASPartCache.package
-compositorCache.package
-scriptCache.package
-simCompositorCache.package
-socialCache.package
-plus the contents of the folders "WorldCaches" & "Thumbnails"

What is inside the Sims 3 Pets folder? Can you give us a snapshot?

Ok try this. Rename The Sims 3 Pets folder (to anything, add a letter or two for example) then launch your game.

whenever i renamed the folder for the sims 3 pets via c:/program files (x86)/Electronic Arts/The Sims 3 Pets i get an error

ok ok, What I ask is to go to My Documents, not Program Files.
Sorry, didn't see that earlier.
Go to My Documents and go on with the Cache delete please.

ok i deleted the DCCache and DCBackup ill try it now

Have you tried that? Same folder (My Documents).

still doing the same even when i deleted the other things that you suggested

Ok. Do you have any Mods or Custom Content?
Also, does launching directly from the app change anything? (Not with the Launcher)

So no mods or CC?
Go to Program Files\...\The Sims 3\Game\Bin and launch TS3W.exe

i cant see any mods or cc and i launched directly from the app and its still doing the same
