Hey!
I've downloaded The Sims 3 Generations, but when I come to the game screen it says I don't have the Generations disk!
What to do?

Apply this fix:

https://games4theworld.forumotion.com/t752-the-sims-3-ultimate-fix-should-fix-most-of-your-problems

Apply the Generations crack to this folder: C:/Program Files/Electronic Arts/The Sims 3/Game/Bin

Also this should be in the Downloads Support section.

Or just use the crack included with the download. Don't paste it in the Generations game directory, but in: C:/Program Files/Electronic Arts/The Sims 3/Game/Bin instead!

Hey! It still doesn't work. It still says that I don't have a disk and that I need to put in my disk. What should I do? Wat.

Hello,

Again, this is because you placed the crack in the wrong folder. Please open the .rar file you downloaded and open the "# Crack" folder in there.
You'll see an .exe file and a .dll file. Drag & drop them both to: C:/Program Files/Electronic Arts/The Sims 3/Game/Bin and NOT TO: C:/Program Files/Electronic Arts/The Sims 3 Generations/Game/Bin

Yeah, I did. I pasted it into The Sims 3 folder, not to the The Sims 3 Generations folder. But it still doesn't work. I didn't download the The Sims 3 base game from games4theworld, if it matters.

That shouldn't matter. I didn't get my base game or ambitions from G4TW, but they work fine with the other expansions.

Ohh, okay. But I will try reinstalling it.

It worked now. I completely uninstalled everything and I downloaded the basegame from games4theworld instead, it worked. Thank you! =]

Hi there,

Well, that's great news. At least we know how to fix that problem now.
Anyhow, you should be able to use your original / retail serial code during the installation, so you can still use the retail features of the game.
